2. In short — MangiaNow needs no account. We use no analytics or advertising trackers and no cookies. Your settings stay on your device.
3. Data on your device — The app stores locally: your language, whether the app is unlocked, your own "kitchen was open" reports and a cache of venue data (max. 24 hours). None of this is sent to us. Delete it by clearing the app/site data or uninstalling the app.
4. Location — Location is only requested when you tap the location button and is used to show your blue dot on the map. It is not saved anywhere, not even on the device. The map then loads the tiles around your position from OpenStreetMap (see point 5). If you allow location access, your position is used only on your device to calculate distance and driving time. It is not sent to us and not stored. Without permission the map shows the Langhe. You can revoke permission any time in your device settings.
5. Map (OpenStreetMap) — To show the map, your device loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap Foundation servers (tile.openstreetmap.org, United Kingdom). The server necessarily receives your IP address, browser/app identifier and the map area shown. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Only with the test option "?live" in the web address does the app query a public Overpass server (e.g. overpass-api.de, Germany) for current data, sending the coordinates of the region; that server sees your IP address. Without this option no such query takes place.
6. Purchase — The one-time purchase (€0.99 / CHF 1) is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their privacy policies. We receive no payment or card data, only the unlock confirmation and anonymous sales statistics.
7. Website and hosting — The website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland). The server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date/time, page, browser) in log files to deliver and protect the site. Logs are deleted automatically according to the host's rules. Servers in Switzerland. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
7a. Analytics (Matomo) — For anonymous visit statistics we use Matomo, run by us at stats.mangianow.com on Infomaniak Network SA servers in Switzerland; the data does not leave Switzerland and is not passed to third parties. Matomo runs without cookies and without fingerprinting, IP addresses are shortened (anonymised), no profiles are built and no exact locations are recorded. We look at e.g. pages viewed, entry and exit pages, time of visit, country/region, device type, language, referring site and anonymous clicks in the app (e.g. “purchase opened”). Your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting is respected. Legal basis (EU): legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in improving the service. You can switch statistics off for your browser here at any time:
8. Email — If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply, then delete them.
9. No selling or sharing of data for advertising.
10. Your rights — Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection (GDPR Art. 15–21; Switzerland: revFADP Art. 25 ff.). Write to tw@wild3.ch. You may complain to the FDPIC (Switzerland) or your local EU supervisory authority.
11. Applicable law — Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR.
